Green Screenings: Inspiring Our Community to Collective Climate Action through Film

SEPTEMBER SHOWING:

Plastic Paradise: The Great Pacific Garbage Patch

Date: Saturday, September 28th

Time: Doors open at 6:30pm. Screening begins promptly at 7:15pm.

Location: Abuela Tecolote Hall, Wapato Island Farm

Cost: $5 per person

Details: Green Screenings are monthly community events that bring us together to help us educate ourselves and begin collectively addressing the climate crisis we face today. We hope these screenings can spark conversations that lead to empowering community action.

This September, we will feature Angela Sun's powerful documentary, which exposes the myriad ways that plastic threatens our world. The problems that plastic pose are heartbreaking, infuriating and urgent. It is important that we don't look away and equally imperative that we don't allow ourselves to be overwhelmed or give up. Together, we can temper our outrage with action, soothe our sadness with connection. Please join us!

Tickets can be purchased at the door or through our online store. Herbal drinks + snacks will be available for purchase. Bring your own reusable dish ware and comfortable seating (cushions, folding chairs). This is a family-friendly event, all ages welcome.
